FMC was founded in 1953 specializing in carbide and steel products for the Cold Heading industry. Over the years Frankfort has expanded into wood processing knives, medical components and specialized milled parts for almost any application. A new line-up of CNC mills and lathes is enabling FMC to expand into machine automation products and beyond.
In 1997 FMC constructed a new 19,000 square foot building to house a new heat treat facility and meet growing demand. Frankfort employs 40 full-time employees, running two shifts. FMC became ISO 9001 compliant in 2000 and upgraded to the current standard ISO 9001:2015 in 2018.
FMC has a strong customer base built on trust and outstanding craftsmanship. That tradition has carried over into new opportunities that allowed Frankfort to expand operations into assembly.
In 2018 a 4000 square foot addition was made to the plant to facilitate assembling of FMC produced parts into sophisticated components for use on automobile assembly lines in the U.S. and abroad.
FMC’s strong leadership and experienced staff can bring solutions to your tooling needs quickly and reliably. Although Frankfort is not certified to design or engineer products; we can work closely with you to develop your prototypes or specialty parts. With assembly capabilities, you can be assured of the “right fit” before your project ships to your door.
